WWE Releases ECW’s Marcus Cor Von

WWE has come to terms on the release of ECW Superstar Marcus Cor Von as of September 19. Cor Von, real name Monty Brown, had taken extended time off from the company to assist with his family following the death of a relative. He had been expected to return once the situation had resolved itself. Cor Von signed with the company in November 2006 after a long run with TNA.

Since the details are not yet known, I am going to say this. Booo to the WWE. I may need to retract that statement, but Cor Von is one of the best, and could have helped bring the company out of their funk of boring wrestling. He was used wrong, and placed on the wrong brand, he should have been on the flag ship and really worked some angle with Jeff Hardy, or even some other member. I hope to see him again in the ring. Hopefully it will be WWE.
