Posted on July 31st, 2007 at 8:23 am

WWE.com is reporting that Bobby Lashley suffered a possible rotator cuff tear “due to the kick he took from Ken Kennedy” last night on Raw. He was actually already injured going into the match last night. Pro Wrestling Insider is reporting that Lashley has been feeling pain in his shoulder at least going into TV last night and that they shot the angle last night to allow him to get the shoulder looked at and taken care of. We don’t know the severity of the injury at this time and will update you here on the site when we find out.

Scott Steiner is recovering well from his throat injury and may return to the company as soon as the 7/16 Impact taping in Orlando. It’s expected that he will make a full recovery. Speculation that he and brother Rick will resume their feud with Team 3D, given the way Brother Ray buried Scott on the mic at the Slammiversary pay per view event.

WWE Raw Preview 07.09.07
Posted on July 9th, 2007 at 2:29 pm

Bobby Lashley cemented his spot in The Great American Bash’s WWE Championship Match last week when he defeated Shelton Benjamin and the time of King Booker in the final “Beat the Clock” Match of the evening. This Monday night, right at 9 p.m. ET, King Booker will look for revenge as he takes on Lashley in one-on-one action. Will royalty rule this week on Raw? Or will Lashley overthrow the King en route to his WWE Championship Match with John Cena?

Also, Randy Orton may also have a chance to add another Legend to his list of victims. After he slapped WWE Hall of Famer Dusty Rhodes last week, “The American Dream” told Orton to meet him face-to-face in Lafayette. What does Dusty have in mind for the Legend Killer? Plus, Candice Michelle may be Women’s Champion, but Melina’s not ready to let go. After defeating Maria in action last week, the former champion attacked Candice, only to find herself with a face full of floor. Will the rivalry between Candice and Melina come to a head this week? Find out the answers to all of these questions and more on Raw, Monday night at 9/8 CT on USA Network.

Was Daniel Benoit Sick, Or Was It Just A WWE Lie
Posted on July 2nd, 2007 at 10:20 pm

Amid reports that WWE wrestler Chris Benoit allegedly injected his son with hormones because of a health condition, Scott Ballard, District Attorney of Fayette County, Ga., just released this statement:

“There are additional reports that contradict the earlier information that suggested that Daniel Benoit may have suffered from Dwarf Syndrome or Fragile X Syndrome. Daniel’s family denies that he suffered from either condition. As a result of the family’s concerns, the Fayette County Sheriff’s investigators and the District Attorney’s Office have inquired into this matter. A source having access to certain of Daniel’s medical reports reviewed those reports, and they do not mention any pre-existing mental or physical impairment. Reports from Daniel’s educators likewise contradict the claims that Daniel was physically undersized. The educators report that Daniel graduated kindergarten and was prepared to enter the first grade on par with the other students.”

And who was it that fed the information to the DA about Chris and Nancy were having a rough time over their handicapped son . . . that’s right WWE attorney Jerry McDevitt. Was this a flagrant case of trying to mislead an investigation?

Why isn’t District Attorney Ballard filing charges against the WWE and their lawyer Jerry McDevitt for Obstruction of Justice?

Dr. Phil Astin, who saw Chris Benoit on Friday shortly before he returned home and killed his wife and son, turned himself in today to face federal charges. He was charged Monday with improperly dispensing painkillers and other drugs. The seven-count indictment said Dr. Phil Astin dispensed drugs including Percocet, Xanax, Lorcet and Vicoprofen between April 2004 and September 2005. The recipients were identified in the indictment by the initials O.G. and M.J. Benoit’s initials were not listed. A criminal complaint was also filed, but was under seal. A law enforcement official close to the case, who spoke on condition of anonymity before the hearing, said the case involves steroids.
