WWE.com has announced that the Big Show is leaving WWE. While they term it as a break to recharge, Show’s WWE contract is said to expire in February 2007.
According to Big Show, he has been plagued by a multitude of injuries from herniated discs to torn muscles, but has still competed through the pain. “I’ve reached a point in my career right now where I am a little run down and hurt pretty bad physically,” explained the Big Show. “I’ve been wrestling the past three months pretty much in pain every night. I can’t compete at the level I want to compete at, and that’s the most heartbreaking thing.” Despite his display of supremacy, Big Show claimed that his performance in the ring has not been at his full potential. It is this that has driven the immense competitor to step away from WWE for now.

1Wrestling is reporting Monty Brown was backstage yesterday at the RAW/ECW tapings. He was said to be very cordial and humble and approached everyone to introduce himself. He made a good first impression according to people I talked to. Brown was scheduled for a dark match. I believe the opponent was initially scheduled to be Stevie Richards. That was then changed to possible a match with a RAW guy, but then the match was totally scratched.
To follow up on the Paul Heyman situation, it looks like he is gone from WWE. PwInsider talked to a few people in the know and the general concensus was that Vince McMahon was angry at how bad December To Dismember was and pinned the whole mess on Heyman. He got the blame for it with the theory being that “he is caught in the past and doesn’t understand the new vision of ECW”.
PwInsiders sources also revealed that the problems started Sunday at the ECW PPV when everyone realized that the show really stunk. Heyman was said to be unhappy with the way that the show was booked and sources backstage reported that he voiced that concern both before the show and after it. People at the Raw/ECW Tapings said that it was obvious that there were issues between Vince McMahon and Heyman because of the how the show played out on pay TV, with everyone knowing it was a disaster.

PwInsider.com is reporting that former TNA star and recent WWE signee Monty Brown just arrived backstage at the Monday Night Raw/ECW taping in North Charleston, SC, so it’s likely he’ll be appearing on one of the shows tonight.
One night after ECW’s December to Dismember, Raw rivalries heat up in North Charleston, S.C. The Hardys soared to victory over MNM at December to Dismember, but Joey Mercury & Johnny Nitro plan to turn up the heat several notches on Raw – by teaming up with Edge & Randy Orton. Rated-RKO is still gloating about their heinous actions last week, leaving Ric Flair lying in a pool of his blood, plus leveling The Hardys and getting themselves disqualified during their World Tag Team Championship Match. Matt & Jeff won’t be alone against this fatal foursome, however; in their corner will be very pissed-off D-Generation X members Shawn Michaels and Triple H, who want revenge on Flair’s attackers at all costs. Will they succeed, or do MNM and Rated-RKO have a plan that will leave The Hardys and DX in the same condition as the annihilated Nature Boy?
