Jim Ross Official Back Announcing Raw
Posted on May 3rd, 2006 at 8:22 am

In a story posted today, WWE.com confirmed that Jim Ross will return to the Raw announce booth this Monday night.  Of course, in typical WWE.com fashion, they are mixing storylines with reality by “reporting” the following:

“In the wake of Joey Styles decision to quit World Wrestling Entertainment, Mr. McMahon has been forced to reluctantly give Jim Ross his old job back. Mr. Ross will handle the play-by-play duties on RAW on a probationary basis.” Mr. McMahon and his office declined further comment.

It seems Vince has been swallowing alot of his pride this week. First, he lets Joey Styles write his own promo to help do the right thing to get ECW going. Styles’ promo was one of the best promos as of late, and WWE Creative didn’t write it . . . hmmm. And now, Vince is admitting a mistake. By bring JR back he was wrong for tossing him aside for a younger, better-looking broadcaster. If Vince keeps this attitude of doing whats right for the company, WWE and wrestling could start to get enjoyable again.

It looks like Jim Ross will be coming back to Raw tonight to replace Joey Styles as the Raw Lead Announcer. Styles will move over to the new ECW brand as the new Lead Announcer for the ECW television show.
