TNA Rating Rises

This past Saturday’s edition of TNA Impact on Spike TV scored a 0.9 rating, bouncing back from the 0.7 the show scored the week before.

Among Males 18-49, the show scored a 0.7. The show also scored 0.7 among Male 18-34. The average audience was also up, capturing 1,029,000 viewers.


Saturday Nights Main Event Matches Announced

Monday night on RAW, Mr. McMahon announced two huge matches for Saturday Night’s Main Event. In the main event, it will be WWE Champion John Cena teaming with Triple H to face Rey Mysterio, Randy Orton and whoever the World Heavyweight Champion is at the time. Also, Shane McMahon will battle Shawn Michaels in a Street Fight.




Okerlund To Be Inducted In Hall Of Fame

It was announced that Hulk Hogan will induct Gene Okerlund into the WWE Hall of Fame this April. Okerlund joines Bret Hart and Eddie Guerrero as the 2006 inductees into the WWE Hall of Fame.

More inductees will be announced in the coming weeks.


WWE Implements Talent Wellness Program

WWE is implementing a broad WWE Talent Wellness Program. The Program has two components: 1. an aggressive substance abuse and drug testing policy, and 2. a cardiovascular testing and monitoring program.

The Substance Abuse and Drug Testing Policy prohibits the non-medical use and associate abuse of prescription medications and performance-enhancing drugs, as well as the use, possession and/or distribution of illegal drugs by WWE Talent. The use of masking agents and/or diuretics to conceal or obscure the use of prohibited drugs is also prohibited.

Hall Of Fame Ceremony To Air on USA

WWE and the USA Network announced that USA will be airing the WWE Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Saturday, April 1 at 11/10 PM CT.

The first two names announced for this year’s induction are Bret “Hit Man” Hart and the late, great Eddie Guerrero. More inductees will be announced on Raw in the coming weeks. It is rumored that Tony Atlas will be inducted in the Hall of Fame this year as well.

Marty Jannetty will decide if he wants a full-time spot on the Raw roster bad enough to kiss Mr. McMahon’s rear end. dge gave Mick Foley one week to respond to his WrestleMania challenge. Will Mick answer back this week? Trish Stratus will also defend the Women’s Championship against Candice.

Samoa Joe Resigns With TNA

It seems Samoa Joe has agreed to a 2-3 year deal with TNA. This was an obviously good move on TNA’s part as the WWE had expressed interest in Joe.


JBL Suffers Injury At SmackDown Tapings

This week on SmackDown during a six-man tag team match, JBL suffered a broken hand with a displaced bone. Surgery on that hand will take place first thing Thursday morning. WWE.com will have an update as soon as it becomes available. This match pitting JBL, Finlay & Randy Orton against Rey Mysterio, Lashley & Chris Benoit can be seen Friday Night (8/7 CT) on UPN.

WWE Releases The Dicks

WWE has come to terms on the release of both Chad Wicks and John Tolland who wrestled as The Dicks. Despite being released The Dicks were backstage at the OVW tapings.

WWE Diva Breaks Her Leg

Ashley suffered a spiral fracture of the left fibula, a non weight-bearing bone, Monday night while competing in the Diva Battle Royal to crown a No. 1 Contender for the Women’s Championship. Surgery will not be required, however, Ashley will be in a cast for four weeks.
