Mark Madden has been hospitalized after suffering an apparent heart attack. Madden was an internet broadcaster at WCW and longtime WCW Live! mainstay before moving to the Nitro broadcast booth near the end of WCW’s run on TNT.
While still working for WCW, Madden began hosting a popular afternoon sports talk show in Pittsburgh and went on to become one of the most popular sports personalities in the area.

WTAE has updated the condition of Mark Madden in a story on ThePittsburghChannel.com. Madden suffered a heart attack Saturday night while coaching a hockey tournament and drove himself to the hospital. According to the story, Madden is alert and is breathing on his own and is in stable condition. He is expected to undergo a heart procedure today.
Emory Hale passed away Sunday night after suffering from health problems the last several years. Hale was managed by Jimmy Hart in WCW and the XWF and had been dealing with a variety of health problems after undergoing a kidney transplant in 2003.

The news CW network reached a two year deal with the WWE to continue airing Friday Night SmackDown.
It was announced today that UPN and the WB are mergining into a new channel called the CW later this year. SmackDown draws good ratings for UPN so it is a good bet that SmackDown will end up on the CW.
WWE released developmental talent, Dean Visk. Visk was training in Ohio Valley Wrestling. I am suprised Visk got released, he was good on the mic and has the “WWE” physique.
The Ultimate Warrior has filed a civil suit against WWE in Superior Court of Arizona, Maricopa County. Plaintiffs in the case are listed as Ultimate Creations Inc, Warrior Warrior, and Dana Warrior. Defendants are listed as Vincent K McMahon, Linda McMahon, Titan Sports Inc, and World Wrestling Entertainment Inc. The suit is in connection with WWE’s release of an Ultimate Warrior DVD that was a negative portrayal of his time with the company.
World Wrestling Entertainment has come to terms with Heidenreich on his release from the company. WWE wishes Heidenreich the best in all his future endeavors.
Several weeks back, Heidenreich checked himself into a hospital because of an ear infection. The rumor is that when WWE agents came to collect Heidenreich to bring him to the next show, he told them he couldn’t deal with being on the road anymore. Heidenreich flew himself home and hasn’t appeared since.
